Ko Taranaki toku Maunga. Ko Waitara toku Awa. Ko Tokomaru toku Waka. Ko Te Atiawa toku Iwi. Ko Otaraua toku Hapu.
I have always wanted to work within the funeral industry and in 2016 I gained that opportunity. I began my training as an Embalmer and qualified with a National Diploma in Embalming 2019. I am the first qualified Maori woman embalmer for Taranaki: an achievement I am extremely proud of, not only for myself but for my whanau and wider community.
The next part of my journey was always to become a Funeral Director, where I hoped, I could help guide families through the process after the loss of their loved one and I am proud to have the opportunity to achieve this now.
I am married to Rob and have 5 adult children that are all leading their own paths in life. My whanau are my world, and we always will make time to spend quality time together. I am about to start a new chapter in my life, when my world will be blessed by my 1st grandchild.
